on the streets up and down
Distorted perspectives
hidden fears
abstract conclusions
senseless tears
Smiling at nothing
prisoners of dreams
an inner dictators voice
issues sad foolish schemes
They sit staring in wonder
amused by a thought
of mountains and madness
the hopeless battles fought
The paths of glory
lead but to the grave
on the paths of insanity
the heroes only rave
